Tyler's practice has a focus on warehouse lending, secured credit facilities, and publicly registered and privately placed asset securitization transactions. His experience extends to various asset classes, encompassing marketplace consumer loans, solar loans, residential mortgages, student loans, credit card and charge card receivables, auto loans, and esoteric assets, including proved developed producing (PDP) oil and gas wellbores.
Before joining Orrick, Tyler was an associate in Chapman and Cutler LLP's Asset Securitization Department.
Lorraine advises French and international companies and investment funds on all aspects of corporate law in connection with mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, carve-outs, and private equity transactions.
Before joining Orrick, she practiced at the Paris offices of Latham & Watkins and Paul Hastings.
Lauren has represented clients in connection with a broad spectrum of technologies, including small molecules, biologics, DNA sequencing, gene editing, recombinant DNA technology, and medical devices. She brings experience in litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act and the Biologics Price Competition Innovation Act (BPCIA).
Lauren was recognized by Law360’s Rising Stars as “one of the top intellectual property attorneys under the age of 40” in 2019. She was also named to Benchmark Litigation’s “40 and Under Hot List,” which honors the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished litigators under 40.
His practice involves representing banks and other institutional lenders and underwriters in securitization and structured finance transactions, with an emphasis on secured commercial lending facilities (both syndicated and bilateral) and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). His experience also includes CMBS and other commercial real estate-related structured finance matters, as well advising servicers on loan modifications, workouts, defaults and payoffs.
Kyle has represented clients in domestic and international financings, including syndicated credit facilities, private placements, and registered securities offerings. He has extensive experience in the development and structuring of long-term power purchase agreements with respect to thermal (nuclear, coal and natural gas) and renewable generation facilities. He has also represented clients in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), auctions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and other general corporate matters.
Kyle has represented clients in various matters relating to the development, construction, ownership and operation of electric generation facilities in the United States, South America and Europe. His practice also includes the representation of clients seeking and obtaining substantial financing from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
Patrick advises companies with often transformative technologies across a number of sectors – including Enterprise Software, Consumer Marketplaces, Fintech, Web3, EdTech, Media, Cleantech, Healthcare and Life Sciences. He has supported companies in formation, through growth stages, to those scaling their operations across geographies, on a wide range of private equity transactions, M&A, joint ventures and corporate restructurings.
He has also represented leading investment funds (such as EQT Growth, ABN Amro Ventures, Kinnevik and Greycroft) and corporates (such as EDF, Live Nation, Workday and Twist Bioscience) in their venture capital and private equity investments.
Mathilde Duchamp specializes in corporate transactions, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, private equity and capital markets transactions. She advises both French and international clients—across listed and unlisted companies—on all aspects of corporate law, including public offerings and market financing transactions. Mathilde is also experienced in preparing corporate documentation, particularly for M&A, corporate restructuring and capital markets transactions, such as mergers, asset contributions and capital increases.
Prior to joining Orrick, Mathilde was an associate at another international law firm in Paris.
James advises clients across the capital markets on financing a variety of asset classes, including residential and commercial mortgages, student loans, re-securitizations, collateralized debt obligations and charter school receivables. He has also represented municipal and state agencies in connection with municipal bond transactions.
He represents both issuers and underwriters in public offerings and private placements and has in-depth experience representing clients at all stages of a deal’s lifecycle, from origination and whole loan sale, through warehouse financing and securitization and including ongoing work like mortgage loan modifications and bond refinancings.
James is an avid triathlete and the winner of a number of triathlons, including the 2016 North Carolina Ironman.
Caitlyn helps clients achieve their clean energy goals and leverage the energy transition, primarily through supporting them in negotiating renewable energy PPAs.
Caitlyn has also acted for clients on the acquisition, disposal, formation, structuring and operation of energy and critical infrastructure projects. This experience includes advising on renewable and conventional energy projects, electricity transmission regulations, natural gas exploration, transportation and storage, mining and resources projects, and the operations of major railways and ports.
Deena works on matters for a diverse range of clients, from international tech and utility construction companies, and pharmaceutical companies to the National Collegiate Athletic Association. From day one, she was an integral member of the winning trial team for the first collegiate football concussion and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy case to reach a jury trial for the NCAA. She is also active in multi-language international arbitration matters, working with clients and experts across the globe.
Recently, Deena has represented a number of technology companies, working on matters involving cryptocurrency investments, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, California Invasion of Privacy Act, the Illinois Biometric Invasion of Privacy Act, and other false advertising and data access issues.
Deena has consistently maintained an active pro bono case load, having secured asylum for six individuals in the last three years. She currently represents an inmate through the the United States District Court for the Central District of California’s Pro Bono Civil Rights Panel and represented a tenant in an eviction action alongside Public Counsel.
Deena is a respected leader at Orrick. Since joining the firm, she has served as Co-Chair of the Middle Eastern and North African inclusion network and Co-Chair of the Los Angeles Office’s Inclusion & Belonging Committee for several years, currently sits on the firmwide Inclusion & Belonging Committee, and was a featured speaker for Kōrero, Orrick’s Women’s Initiative’s monthly firmwide community conversations. In 2022, Deena received the firm’s Community Responsibility Award for her humanitarian work with the Armenian Bar Association in connection with the war by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabagh.
Deena is an active member of the Armenian community, serving as Co-Vice Chair of the Armenian Woman’s Bar Association. While in law school, Deena was the Co-Founder and President of the Armenian Law Students Association. She was also a member of Georgetown’s Barrister’s Council’s Alternate Dispute Resolution division, winning Georgetown’s Bellamy Negotiation Competition and securing an honorable mention for Georgetown’s brief at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong, a student attorney with Georgetown's Juvenile Justice Clinic, a student teacher with the Street Law Program, the Executive Editor for the Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law and Policy, and wrote for the Georgetown Law Technology Review.
Nathan represents and advises the firm on all issues regarding claims and is responsible for managing the firm’s complex litigation strategies. He retains and supervises outside defense counsel, coordinates coverage and related issues with the firm’s insurance carriers, and ensures the effective and efficient defense of claims against the firm. Nathan is also a member of Orrick’s Risk Management Committee, responsible for promoting risk awareness and prevention through risk management training, internal firm publications, and risk management audits.
Prior to taking on his current role, Nathan was a member of Orrick's Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. With over two decades of litigation and trial experience, Nathan has practiced before state and federal courts and has arbitrated matters before The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the International Center for Dispute Resolution.
Nathan joined Orrick as a summer associate in 2001. In 2007, he took a brief leave of absence to work as a prosecutor in the San Francisco County District Attorney’s Office.
